Sylvester D. Solomon was born on July 20, 1986 in Chicago, IL to Somner Solomon and Sylvester Johnson.
Sylvester received his education in the Chicago Public School system. He attended Paul Robeson High School. He accepted Christ at an early age.
Sylvester was affectionately known to his family and friends as “Shug”. He worked as a laborer. He was very good with his hands. Sylvester was a natural DIY (do-it-yourself) handyman and technician.
Sylvester was an amazing father. He was always looking for an opportunity to provide more for his children. He loved them dearly and devoted most of his time to them.
Sylvester was a friendly and likeable person who enjoyed attending movies and experiencing different restaurants throughout the Chicago area. He also loved sports, amusement parks, hanging out with his cousins, and listening to music.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sylvester Johnson. The sun set on the life of Sylvester (Shug) D. Solomon on October 9, 2013 at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital. Sylvester leaves to cherish his mother, Somner Solomon, also known as “Shawn”; his children, Desmond Solomon and Naveh Solomon; sister-Jermiah, step-sister-Randi, step-brother Sylvester Jr.; grandmother, Luroyal; great-grandmother, Emma; four aunts, Gloria (Terrell), Michelle (Lacy), Stephanie, and Caprice; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives, special friends and many other close friends.
