Obituary for Nancy Lee Dennis

Nancy Dennis began her journey in life in on December 12, 1961. She was born to Lela Bell and Johnny Dennis Sr. Her parents, one sister: Ethel Franklin; three brothers: Johnnie Dennis Jr. and George Dennis and Dexter Dennis preceded her in death.

Nancy accepted Christ as her personal savior in Bourbon, MS at an early age at St. John M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. W.M. Tucker.

She was educated in the Leland Public School District. During her high school years she was a member of the Leland High School Cheerleading Squad and an outstanding sprinter on the Track Team. After graduating from high school Nancy moved several times before eventually making Covington, GA her home. Nancy was an active member of Emmanuel Community Church under the direction of Pastor Eric Suddith. She served as the New Members Coordinator and the Media ProPresenter Operator. To know Nancy was to love her. Nancy was like a ray of sunshine an d could light up any room. She was kind, gentle, caring, to all that loved her. She will truly be missed.

Nancy leaves to carry on her legacy of love, one daughter, Chanera Dennis of Chicago Ill; two sons: Kedrick Dennis Sr. (Dakela) of Harvey, Ill and Adrick (Sabrina) McMiller II of Junction City, KS: twelve grandchildren: Destine’ Dennis, Palmer Helm Jr. (Trey), of Chicago, IL Danarria McClay, Kedrick Jr., Kevohn, Davonna, Keion, and Kedyn Dennis, Aniyah, Shondrea, Sariah and Adrick F. McMiller III all of Junction City Kansas; Arren T. Leide, of North Carolina five sisters: Margaret Dennis of Greenville, MS, Dorothy Williams of Leland, MS, Bettis Lowe and Martha Dennis (Bethel) both of Covington, GA; four brothers, Nathaniel Dennis (Patricia) of Leland, MS, David (Karen) Dennis and Joseph Dennis both of Covington, GA and Willie Dennis of Union City, GA; one uncle; four aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
